Mon Health System
Monongalia Health System
was formed in 1982 as the “parent” company of Mon General Hospital and
its affiliated entities – which currently include Monongalia Emergency
Medical Services, Mon HealthCare Equipment & Supplies and The
Village at Heritage Point. The corporate structure of Mon Health System
was set up to aid in strategic planning and to manage the affiliated
entities under a common philosophy.
Mon General Hospital,
the cornerstone of Mon Health System, traces its roots back to the
first hospital in Monongalia County in the early 1900s, and was
officially established by an act of the Monongalia County Court in April
